The Shiseido Vital Perfection Wrinklepost Treatment is crafted to help ease lines and sings of ageing, especially around the eyes, which Shiseido says is a top skin concern for Asian shoppers. The formula contains Pure Retinol and Tranexamic Acid Pro with 4MSK, which aids with skin regeneration and reduces the impact of dark circles by promoting the release of melanin.

To spotlight this new line, Shiseido has unveiled a new activation in CDFG’s Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex, Block C. The space, which is inspired by a research laboratory, features an augmented reality game where travellers can carry out “research” and try to create the new treatment. The game is followed by a video which highlights the benefits of retinol and shoppers are then given a code to claim a deluxe sample. There is also a photo-op entrance, a consultation area and a display of travel exclusive products.

Shiseido Travel Retail Vice President, Marketing, Siv Chao said: “This engaging month-long activation reinforces our strategic partnership with China Duty Free Group while offering travellers an exclusive Japanese beauty experience with Shiseido that marries science, art, and technology.

“Our investment in China Duty Free Group’s Block C complex provides the perfect retail opportunity to strengthen Shiseido Travel Retail’s vision to create a culture of beauty and unique value for our travellers.”

To launch the activation, Shiseido Global Brand Ambassador Lui Yi Fei visited the activation and shared her favourite products to use when travelling as well as meeting a competition winner.

“The current travel retail climate is defined by the desire for unique experiences, ranging from exclusive products to celebrity and KOL meet-and-greets,” added Dorothy Liu, Vice President of Perfume and Cosmetics category, Product Merchant Department at CDFG. “We are delighted to bring the best of Japanese beauty innovation to our travellers in partnership with Shiseido Travel Retail.”
